OTTAWA - The LaSalle County Republicans hosted the state’s first ILGOP and ILGOP County Chairman’s Association 2022 training season at Pitstick Pavilion in Ottawa on Jan. 8. More than 75 attendees from eight counties were present as ILGOP Vice-Chairman Mark Shaw delivered the most comprehensive precinct committeeman (PC) and candidate training in the history of the ILGOP.
The afternoon was dedicated to candidate training and included everything from campaign strategy and messaging to political support, fundraising and media training. Hundreds of man years of political and practical experience were packed into the session, much of which was identified in the manual provided to attendees. This class benefits those seeking to be precinct committeemen, elected officials or anyone who has been engaged in politics for some time.
