LA MOILLE - June M. Bonnell, 74, of LaMoille passed away June 27, 2021 at Heritage Health Mendota.

Private family services will be held. Cremation rites will be accorded. Wasmer Funeral Home is privileged to serve the family.

June was born May 10, 1947 in Peru to Wayne and Doris (McLaughlin) Black. She married Richard Bonnell on April 4, 1964 in Princeton.

She is deeply missed by one son, Rick (Dori) Bonnell of LaMoille; one daughter, Annette (Joseph) Larson; four grandchildren, Justin, Riley, Ingrid and Maeve; one sister, Karon Hohertz of Naperville; twp brothers, Duane (Janine) Black of Mendota and Don (Deb) Black of Dimmick; and her beloved kitties, Itty and Tige.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2009 and her parents.

Junebug was an accomplished self-taught painter and expert wallpaper installer. Her company “Cover Ups,” redecorated thousands of homes in the surrounding area. Not one to be idle in retirement, she began painting barn quilts, passing on her love of decorating to her daughter and granddaughters. She was a volunteer with the LaMoille Lions Club and a member of Community United Methodist Church.
