MENDOTA – The American Red Cross held a blood drive on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at the Mendota Moose Family Center. The goal for the day was 48 and there were 58 good units collected. There were 48 whole blood donations and 10 double red cell donations.
Several volunteers helped the day run smoothly. They were Paddy Schwemlein, Henrietta Klein, Margy Frey, Sandra Gann, Peg Mathesius-Cerveny, Lori Schlesinger, Rita Jones, Fern Burger, Kristi Carroll and Lori Simonton.
Black Bros. Co. sponsored BBQ, egg salad sandwiches and all the extras. Mendota Subway once again donated sandwiches for the donor luncheon. Desserts were provided by Paddy Schwemlein, Marlene Simonton, Leann O’Brien, Margy Frey, Sandra Gann, Kristi Carroll and Lori Simonton.
