MENDOTA - John Edward Brumley, 77, of Mendota, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Jan. 31, 2019 at home.
Services will be held at a later date.
John was born May 17, 1941 in Jacksonville to John Ray and Della Mae (Buster) Brumley. He married Linda Swope on May 23, 1966 in Mendota.
Survivors include three sons, Eddie of Tonica, Steve of Jonesville and Justin Brumley of Mendota; five daughters, Rose and Janice Brumley, Corinna (Tony) Seifert of Menomonie, Wis., Michele (Jim) Hicks of Ellsworth, Wis. and April Brumley of Mendota; two sisters, Maryann Ewalt and Barb Smith of Granville; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Glenn Brumley.
John moved to Mendota with his parents and siblings as a young child. He worked as a welder, then was engaged in farming in Roberts, Wis. for a number of years. He later retired from the Paw Paw rest area.
