MENDOTA - Jimmy Cleary, 37, of Mendota passed away June 25, 2020 at his home.

Per his wishes, there will be no services. He will be laid to rest on Brown’s Mountain in Rogersville, Tenn. alongside his grandparents at a later date. Merritt Funeral Home in Mendota assisted the family.

Jimmy was born Aug. 9, 1982 in Mendota.

Survivors include his sons, Jayce Weiden (Courtney Weiden) and Anders Kaalaas (Julie Kaalaas); his parents, Janet and Mike Brown, James and Kim Cleary; his sisters, Tanya Cleary, Jamie (Bryan) Denault, Jenny Brown, Tatum Pierce, Trista (Randy) Riveland; his brother, Brandin (RC) Cleary; multiple grandparents; many nieces and nephews that he adored; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willie and Eliza Wagers and paternal grandparents, Roger and Martha Brown.

Jimmy was an amazing father, son, brother and uncle. He was loved by an endless amount of friends, known for his contagious laugh, bear hugs and artistic talents. He was a sensitive, caring guy with a huge heart, who was loved by so many. We will continue to see him through the lives of his two strong sons. As broken as our hearts are, our precious son is no longer in pain. You can ride free now, Jimmy. We will take it from here.
