HAMPSHIRE – Janice N. Reiter, 81, of Hampshire, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at home surrounded by family.

Cremation is private at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S. Gilbert St, South Elgin. Burial is at Warrenville Cemetery with her husband Donald at a later date.

She was born May 21, 1942, in Aurora.

She was the beloved wife of the late Donald; loving mom of Gay (Ken) Nechvatal, Donna (Dan) Drapalik, Mark (Phyllis) Reiter and Curt (Deb) Carlson; cherished grandma of Brett, Mike (Kim), Steve (Abigail), Scott (Megan), Tim, Caitlin (Garrett) and Hannah (Danny); dear great grandma of Lydia, Levi, Laklyn, Londyn, Emmitt and Eleanor; caring daughter of the late LeRoy and Edith Ward; kind sister of the late Thais, David, Ruth and Dolores and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Janice enjoyed Mahjong, scrapbooking, reading and jigsaw puzzles but her biggest passion was always her family.
