PRINCETON - It’s time to make your entries for the 166th annual Bureau County Fair which will be held Aug 25-29. The Fairbook is online now at www.bureaucountyfair.com. If you do not have computer access, pick up entry forms for the fine arts building departments at the Prouty Building in Princeton or at the fair office, which will be open Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to noon.

This year, some changes have been made for entries in the fair. The exhibit days for baked goods has changed to Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so please check the new entry blank for the day to bring pies, cakes and cookies. In addition, all exhibits have to be in place by 9:30 a.m.

Exhibitors in the textile department will be able to put two entries in each class (except for Heritage Textiles) for the 2021 fair only. This is the only department with that change.

Please note the change in the date the entry blanks must be turned in to the office. That date has been extended to Aug. 16 but you are encouraged to submit them earlier, if possible. A drop box is located on the outside of the office where they may be left or mail them to P.O. Box 238, Princeton, IL 61356.

The areas in which the public can exhibit include Art, Photography, Hobbies and Collections, Textiles, Canning, Baking, Horticulture, Ag Products (gardening) and Flowers. There are also many livestock classes and most departments have classes for children and teens. Children 12 and under and life members do not have to purchase an exhibitors ticket. Entries in the fine arts department are only $.50 each.
