DIXON - Helen E. Bothe, 88, of Dixon died June 26, 2021 at Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6 at the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon. Burial of cremains will be at a later date at DeWolf Cemetery.

Helen was born Dec. 11, 1932 in Wyanet to Roy Ruben and Pearl (Jackson) Anderson. She married Duane Miller Bothe on June 30, 1957.

Survivors include her husband; three nieces, Sandra (Dan) Burke of Dixon, Cheryl (Pete) Cervantes of Sterling, and Melony (Bill) Carver of Mendota; two nephews, Jeffery (Judy) Foster of Parker, Colo. and Ted (Michelle) Anderson of Wenona; several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews; one sister-in-law, Sharon Anderson of Tiskilwa; and special friends, John and Tina Weems of Dixon.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, James Green and William Anderson.

Helen graduated from Western Illinois University in 1954. She was a 4th grade teacher at Washington School in Dixon for 35 years prior to her retirement in 1989. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for 65 years and was a competitive bridge player belonging to numerous bridge clubs.
