Graves-Hume Public Library offers program for children 2 & under

Posted

MENDOTA – Are you looking for something fun to do with your little ones age 2 and under? Graves-Hume Public Library offers a weekly program, Shake, Rattle and Read, for children birth to 2 years old and their caregivers (siblings welcome). This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow caregivers and little ones while enjoying books, action rhymes, songs, movement, and free play.

Shake, Rattle and Read is designed to help children build their listening, sitting, and participation skills. Join in for the LEGO focused session on Thursday, March 24 at 6 p.m. Library staff will read LEGO-themed books and have LEGO-themed activities. The program ends with free play, which is a great opportunity to socialize with other young children. You can continue the fun at home with a take-home craft and snack for each child.

Registration is encouraged for youth programs. Library programs are open to all. No library card is required. Call 815-538-5142 or visit the library. Check out the library Facebook page for more details or stop in for a newsletter.
