MENDOTA – On April 7-8, the Mendota Just For Kix dance teams traveled to the final competition of the season and competed in the Together We Dance Competition in Rochester, Minn.

The event featured over 600 performances and included 6,000 performers. Mendota brought 10 teams to the event competing in Kick, Jazz, Hip Hop and Lyrical. The following groups brought home high placements for the day: Wee Hip Hop, 3rd Place; Wee Jazz, 1st Place; Wee/Mini Lyrical, 1st Place; Mini Jazz, 3rd place; Mini Hip Hop, 1st Place; Junior Hip Hop, 1st Place; and Junior Lyrical, 2nd Place.

The Mini Hip Hop and Junior Hip Hop earned their third 1st place ribbon for the season, going undefeated.

"The Rochester event is the largest Just For Kix competition. We are so proud to end our competition season with the placements we received,” said Rachel Moore, Mendota JFK director.

Mendota Just For Kix teams will perform their competition routines at their Spring Recital on Saturday, April 22 at Mendota High School at 2:30 p.m.
