OGLESBY - Spring has arrived, and many people are thinking about the arrival of songbirds, spring flowers, and more. This is the time of year when local University of Illinois Extension offices receive many phone calls, e-mails and face-to-face visits hoping to get answers to questions related to nature and our natural resources.

Although all U of I Extension offices are currently closed for the foreseeable future due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Master Naturalist volunteers are still available to answer any questions you may have.

Curious about the birds you see at your bird feeders? Want to know more about tree and wildflower identification? Do you have questions about native and invasive species? This and many other questions can be addressed by seasoned Master Naturalist volunteers from Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall and Putnam counties.

If you have any questions you would like help with, please send them by e-mail to meo@illinois.edu with “Nature Question” in the subject box. You may also call the Extension office at (815) 224-0889. Please leave both an e-mail address (if you have one) and a phone number so volunteers can get in touch with you.
