Finley performs in Christmas at Augustana

ROCK ISLAND – The Augustana College Department of Music presented Christmas at Augustana, Dec. 2-3 at Centennial Hall.

More than 200 student musicians took the stage to share their talents in what has become a highlight of the Augustana and Quad-Cities holiday season. Presented by Quad City Bank & Trust, Christmas at Augustana has thrilled audiences since 2008. The performance featured the Augustana Brass Ensemble, Augustana Symphony Orchestra, Ascension Ringers, Augustana Choir, Jenny Lind Vocal Ensemble and Augustana Concert Chorale.

This year's Christmas at Augustana performers included Alexis Finley, a first-year student from Mendota, who performed in the Augustana Symphony Orchestra.

Augustana College is a vibrant, welcoming liberal arts college located on a 115-acre campus in the Quad Cities (pop. 400,000) along the Mississippi River. Augustana, a residential campus, has 100 majors and programs, 160 student organizations and 28 varsity athletic teams.

The college enrolls 2,500 students in a metro area that provides access to many career-paths and hands-on learning opportunities, including internships, jobs, student teaching and research sites.

Palmer College names Dean's List students

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Palmer College of Chiropractic's Main Campus in Davenport, Iowa, has announced its 2023 summer trimester Dean’s List students.

Among the students achieving the honor are Madeline Eager and Gabrielle Peasley, both of Mendota.

Palmer College of Chiropractic, the first and largest college in the chiropractic profession, has campuses in Davenport, Iowa; San Jose, Calif.; and Port Orange, Fla.
