MENDOTA - Five free bikes will be given away during this year’s Community Bike Rodeo on Saturday, May 13. The event will take place from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Mendota Civic Center. Admission is free.
At the Bike Rodeo, see a Safety Town presentation by the Mendota Police Department, get a bike inspection and registration and a bike helmet safety check, play bicycle games and win prizes, and take part in Touch a Truck.
Free bike helmets will be provided by OSF Saint Paul Medical Center (while supplies last) and the Mendota Optimist Club will grill free hotdogs.
The Community Bike Rodeo is presented by the Mendota Area YMCA, Mendota Police Department, Mendota Fire Department and OSF Saint Paul Medical Center.
