MENDOTA - Friends of the Library cordially invites the community to the Second Annual Graves-Hume Public Library Christmas Tree Decorating Contest. To participate, pick up a mini-tree at the library through Dec. 10. No library card is required; one tree per family.

Decorate your tree however you wish, using any sort of materials. Drop off your decorated tree at the library by Dec. 13, and invite your friends and family to vote with dollars. Voting begins Dec. 13 and ends on Dec. 23.

All proceeds from the contest will help Friends of the Library provide future library programs. The Friends Group is a separate, charitable entity that supports the library with monetary donations for books and programs not in the library’s budget.

“Last year we had so many great entries! We cannot wait to see what the trees will look like this year,” said Emily Kofoid, library director.

The tree with the most money collected will receive the Grand Prize of a $30 Mendota Chamber Gift card. The second place winner will receive a $20 Mendota Chamber Gift Card. Help decorate the library with your festive ideas.
