Blood drive report - March 9

Posted

MENDOTA - The American Red Cross held a blood drive on March 9 at the Mendota Moose Family Center. There were 71 presenting donors and 75 good units were collected, including 50 whole blood donations and 25 power red donations. Organizers appreciated the great turnout, especially considering these uncertain times.

Also recognized were several first-time donors who attended the drive including Robert Clark, Tina McPheeters, Kevin McPheeters, Becky McPheeters, Monica Zimmerlein, Kaitlynn Sondgeroth, Shannon Bartley and Mary Jo Ketter.

Volunteers for the day were Sandy Schroeder, Peg Mathesius-Cerveny, Lori Schlesinger and Lori Simonton. Mendota Subway again donated sandwiches for the donor luncheon and Black Bros. also donated sandwiches and chips to the drive.

The next bloodmobile will be held on Tuesday, May 4 at the Mendota Moose Family Center. To make an appointment or for more information, please call Lori at (815) 866-3582
