MENDOTA - The American Red Cross held a blood drive on June 2 at the Mendota Moose Family Center. There were 58 people presenting, and 65 good units were collected including 44 whole blood donations and 21 double red cell donations. Tom Sondgeroth reached a milestone hitting the 16-gallon mark.

Volunteers reported having a great turnout for the blood drive considering these uncertain times. They appreciate everyone’s time and donations.

Volunteers for the day were Sandy Schroeder, Peg Mathesius-Cerveny and Lori Simonton. Mendota Subway again donated sandwiches for the donor luncheon. Black Bros. also donated sandwiches and chips to the drive.

The next bloodmobile will be held on Tuesday, July 28 at the Mendota Moose Family Center. Anyone who would like to make an appointment or having questions, please call Lori at (815) 866-3582.
