MENDOTA - John and Cathy (Schultz) Betz will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 19. They were married at Holy Cross Church in Mendota on Feb. 19, 1972.

John and Cathy have two children, Melissa (Tyler) Williams of Parker, Colo. and Kevin (Katie) Betz of Waterman. They have five grandchildren, Colton, Shaelyn and Alliah Williams and Elsie and Henry Betz.

John is still active in farming and they both keep busy with their large garden. They love spending time with their family, but especially enjoy spoiling their grandchildren.
