AMBOY - The family of Carole Benson of Amboy is requesting a card shower in honor of her 80th birthday. Benson was born on Jan. 3, 1942 at Angear Hospital in Sublette.

Her family includes four children, Susan (Hugh) McCoy of Sublette, Connie (Jon) Yambert of Compton, the late Sherry (Lane) Zerbe of Byron, and Dr. Jonathan (Sarah) Benson of Huntertown, Ind. She has eight grandchildren, Ryan McCoy of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Courtney McCoy of Ottawa, Shannon Wegner of Dixon, Kelly Callahan and Michelle Callahan, both of Aurora, Jennifer Hermeyer of Amboy, Josh Christoffersen of Chicago, and Tara (Adrian) Medina of Naples, Fla. A granddaughter, Sarah Christoffersen, died in infancy. She also has nine great-grandchildren, Ren McCoy, Nolan Wegner, Sienna Morales, Caden Hermeyer, Jayce Hermeyer, Asher Eccles, Alexis Medina, Liliana Medina, and Quentin Medina.
