LA SALLE COUNTY - The University of Illinois Extension Bureau, LaSalle and Marshall-Putnam 4-H is honoring the seniors of 2020. This week, they are highlighting Erin Leschewski, a 4-H member of Bailey Creek Kids in LaSalle County.

Erin’s favorite project while in 4-H as been interior Design. “I learned many things in 4-H including how to give a presentation and how to plan a long term project,” she said.

Asked for a favorite memory, Erin said it was showing her refinished trunk for interior design. “It was my project two years ago and I worked really hard on it,” she explained. “I showed at both the county and state fair.”

Her advice to younger 4-H members is to enroll in projects they would not normally think about trying. “You never know what you’ll end up having a talent for,” she said.

Erin plans to attend Western Illinois University and major in social work.

In closing, Erin expressed her appreciation to Tom and Tricia Haynes, her club leaders. “They work hard and keep our club active,” she said.
