MENDOTA - Winners in the 2021 Sweet Corn Festival Parade, which took place on Aug. 15, have been announced by the Mendota Area Chamber of Commerce. The winners in each division include:

Commercial Division - 1st Cornerstone Dentures of Mendota; 2nd GES Sound- Gary Swanson’s Sound of Princeton; 3rd Jurassic Bark Mobile Grooming of Mendota.

Musical Units - 1st Mendota High School Marching Trojans.

Best Use of Sweet Corn Theme - 1st Walter Bros Plumbing, Heating & Cooling of Mendota; 2nd Cornerstone Dentures of Mendota.

Organization Division - 1st Mendota High School Cheerleaders; 2nd Ballet Folklorico De Colores; 3rd Mendota YMCA.

Antique Vehicle - 1st 1930 Ford Model A Coupe Deluxe owned by John Kehoe of Mendota; 2nd 1930 Truck Model A Truck owned by John Noble of Mendota; 3rd 1929 Tudor Ford Model A Sedan owned by John Kehoe of Mendota.

Farm Vehicle 1st - 1953 Case SC-3 Tractor owned by Chad Hamrick of Spring Valley; 2nd 1949 Farmall H Tractor owned by Paul Hamrick of Spring Valley; 3rd 1969 John Deere 4020 Diesel owned by Kent Carnahan of Mendota.
