LA SALLE - Learn how to make a beautiful holiday centerpiece when the LaSalle Public Library virtually hosts University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener volunteer Natalie Martin on Tuesday, Dec. 1. Martin will demonstrate how to make a centerpiece to brighten up your home using items that might already be available around your house. The program will begin at 6 p.m.

During the session, Martin will walk attendees through the creative process, resulting in a festive winter centerpiece. Using items such as pine cones, fabric, winter evergreens (fake or real), holiday ornaments, and children’s crafts, she will explain how to turn them into a fun, DIY creation. At the end of the program, Martin will answer audience questions via live chat.

This program is free, open to the public, and will be presented in an easy-to-use virtual format. Interested individuals wneed to e-mail Rachael Blomquist at the LaSalle Public Library at rblomquist@lasalle.lib.il.us to register and receive the link to the program and viewing instructions. You may also contact Meg E. Overocker, University of Illinois Extension Program Coordinator, at meo@illinois.edu if you have any questions, or call our University of Illinois LaSalle County Extension Office at (815) 433-0707.
