MENDOTA – Mendota High School District 280 in partnership with the State of Illinois will hold a free COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Friday, Feb. 4 at Mendota High School.

Second-dose vaccines will be administered to those individuals who received their first dose on Jan. 14. Also, first-dose shots will be given to those who are interested, but those individuals will need to schedule a time at CVS, Wal-Mart or any other outlet providing vaccines to get their second dose. Booster shots will also be provided at the Feb. 4 clinic at MHS.

The clinic will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the auxiliary gym. Participants should enter through the front door of the high school. To schedule an appointment, log on to https://events.juvare.com/IL-IDPH/bb53b9b5-f84c-4d3b-9b34-533521b58abb/. Walk-ins are also welcome.

Expanded community COVID testing will be held again Friday, Jan. 28. Because of the need for free local testing, MHS will be the site for the saliva SHIELD COVID-19 testing. Hours will be from 9 a.m.-noon. Appointments can be made from 9-10:30 a.m. and anyone can walk in from 10:30 a.m.-noon. Walk-ins are welcome at any time, but please have your SHIELD account created before attending.

This is not a drive-thru test. Please park in any available spot in the front lot and not on the road in front of the auditorium doors. Enter through auditorium doors.
