Norman Strow’ Street Train gives free rides to youngsters during the Railroad Crossing & Country Fair Day, June 17. The event commemorated the Union Depot Railroad Museum’s 20th anniversary. To celebrate, the Mendota Museum & Historical Society planned a fun day with displays and activities for all ages. Attendees could tour the Union Depot Railroad and Breaking Prairie Museums, go inside the renovated train cars, ride the Gandy Dancer Express, listen to music, and grab something to eat.
