Two men charged with burglary of concession stand

MENDOTA – Two men were charged with burglary after police officers investigated the report of a burglary to the concession stand at Strouss Park at 10 a.m. May 22.

Jamie Christman, 28, of LaSalle, and James Christman, 23, of 2100 Lincoln Ave., Mendota, were charged with burglary on May 29 after a thorough investigation, collection of video surveillance and interviews. During the burglary at the concession stand located at 1500 W. Main St., the alleged offenders took approximately $1,600 worth of merchandise and other items of value.

Both subjects were released with a LaSalle County court date in accordance with the Illinois Safe-T Act.

The Mendota Police Department is appreciative of the citizens and businesses of Mendota for their assistance with this case as they were instrumental in providing information that ultimately led to the identification of the offenders.
