MENDOTA - A total of 78 donors attended the July 28 American Red Cross blood drive held at the Mendota Moose Family Center. For the day, 81 good units were collected including 61 whole blood donations and 10 double red cell donations.
Organizers said there was a great turnout, especially considering these uncertain times, and expressed their appreciation to all of the donors and volunteers.
Mendota Subway again donated sandwiches for the donor luncheon and Black Bros. also donated sandwiches and chips to the drive. Volunteers for the day were Sandy Schroeder, Peg Mathesius-Cerveny, Margy Frey and Lori Simonton.
The next bloodmobile is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 22 at the Mendota Moose Family Center. Anyone who would like to make an appointment or having questions, please call Lori at (815) 866-3582.
