Mendota remained perfect in Big Northern Conference play with two volleyball wins over league opponents to improve to 3-0.
The Spikers needed three sets to defeat Winnebago, 17-25, 25-19, 25-18 on March 23 at Winnebago.
Leaders in kills included Jaelyn Fitzgerald (eight), Paige Manning (six) and Reanna Brant (four). Jenna O’Donnell topped the team with three ace serves and 16 digs, while Ella Massey picked up 17 assists. Massey and Elly Buettner had six digs apiece.

Mendota and Stillman Valley also played to the limit and the Spikers prevailed, 17-25, 25-18, 25-17, on March 25 at the MHS gym.
Fitzgerald was a force at the next with 13 kills, while Brant added seven. O’Donnell and Massey picked up 18 and 14 digs, respectively, and Massey totaled 28 assists.

Mendota hosted Ottawa in nonconference play on March 29 and came away with a 25-16, 25-15 verdict to move its record to 5-0.
Lauren Martin and Fitzgerald had six and four kills, respectively, while Massey came away with four ace serves, six digs and 12 assists. O’Donnell recorded eight digs.
