MENDOTA – The Mendota sophomore boys’ basketball team concluded the season with a 43-29 loss to North Boone on March 3 at the MHS gym.
Mendota took a 12-9 lead to the second quarter, but it scored only three points in the period compared to 12 for North Boone, and the Trojans never recovered. The count was 29-23 in North Boone’s favor heading to the fourth frame.
Isaac Guzman paced the Trojans with eight points, followed by Izaiah Nanez with seven and Jose Rocha with six.
