LEE COUNTY - Lee County Sheriff John Simonton was sworn in as an executive board member at the recent Illinois Sheriff’s Association Conference in Bloomington.
As an executive board member, Simonton will work on legislative and training efforts, in support of all sheriff’s office’s in Illinois. He will also work with other law enforcement organizations, in an effort to promote increased public safety and community support for all law enforcement agencies in the state.
Simonton, formerly of Mendota, has served as Lee County Sheriff since 2014.
