No casualties, all fun, during library's Tweens Nerf Wars

MENDOTA – Graves- Hume Public Library hosted its annual Tweens Nerf War on Monday, Jan. 29.

This year’s Nerf War was another successful event as tweens from all over the area brought their supplies to battle it out against each other.

“Our annual Nerf battle was a hit, said Jen Bresley, Graves-Hume tween/teen manager. “The library turned into a battle arena with Nerf bullets flying everywhere. Our tweens used teamwork and cooperation to successfully capture their opponent’s flag. We ended the night with lots of smiles and our stomachs full of Rosati’s Pizza.”

A special thanks to Rosati’s Pizza of Mendota for providing the pizza.

Tweens meet monthly and programs are open to kids in grades 5-8.

The next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26 as attendees will be sculpting with air dry clay.

Library programs are open to all, no library card is require, call 815-538-5142 to register.
