MHS matmen taken down by two opponents

PRINCETON – Mendota’s wrestlers were beaten by Princeton and Riverdale in a triangular meet at Princeton on Jan. 18.

Riverdale scored a 48-3 triumph over the Trojans. Jose Hermosillo was the lone winner for Mendota. He captured a 16-11 decision over his opponent in the 138-pound weight class.

Against Princeton, the Trojans fell by a 51-12 count. Mendota got forfeit wins from Lea Turner at 152 pounds and Diego Sandoval at 182 pounds.
