Mendota’s freshman boys’ basketball team defeated Bureau Valley, 29-21, on Jan. 18 at Manlius.
Domenic Richey paced the Trojans with 11 points and Dane Hiner chipped in with eight.

The Trojans fell to Kewanee, 43-32, on Jan. 21 at Kewanee.
Cameron Kelly led the scoring chart for Mendota with 13 points, followed by Richey with eight and Braiden Freeman with five.

Mendota came up short to Rock Falls, 52-45, on Jan. 22 at Rock Falls.
Kelly topped Trojan scorers with 13 points and Hiner also hit double-digits with 12 tallies. Freeman chipped in with nine markers.
Mendota has a 1-2 season record.
