MENDOTA – Laurie Dawn Hoffman, 66, of Mendota, passed away Nov. 22, 2024, at Allure of Mendota.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at Victory Baptist Church in Mendota. Cremation care has been provided by Horner-Merritt Funeral Home in Mendota.

Laurie was born April 16, 1958, in Elgin, to Henry and Betty (Redden) Hoffman.

She is survived by her parents; five children, Brandon Larson of Rockford, Trey Bratcher of Mendota, Stephanie Larson of Vernon Hills, Christina Williamson of Washington, Ill., and Taylor (Kyle Madsen) Bratcher of Spring Valley; two brothers, Joseph Hoffman of LaSalle and Paul (Lorraine) Hoffman of Vacaville, Calif: one sister, Angela (Darron) Pitts of Compton; and nine grandchildren.

Laurie graduated from Sycamore High School with the class of 1976. Later in life she attended on-line Phoenix University and Walden University earning a master’s degree. Movies were her passion along with garage sales and auctions.
