LA MOILLE - Janice “Jan” M. Silfies, 82, of LaMoille, passed away Sept. 1, 2021 at Liberty Village, Princeton.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4 at First Congregational Church, LaMoille with Rev. Paul Butler officiating. Burial will be at Greenfield Cemetery, LaMoille. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 3 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Jan was born March 27, 1939 in Princeton to Cecil and Gladys (Gustafson) Steele. She married Harry “Bud” Silfies on Jan. 12, 1958.
Survivors include her husband of LaMoille; two daughters, Syndi (Joel) Peck of Quincy and Becki Silfies of Aurora; three grandchildren, Meghan (Dave) Buckley of Quincy, Andrew Parks of Ruston, La. and Mandi Silfies of Aurora; two great-granddaughters, Maddi Silfies and Hayley Buckley; and one brother, Richard (Shirley) Steele of Princeton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Donald Steele and Norm Steele.
Jan was a 1957 graduate of LaMoille High School and was a member of First Congregational Church.
