MENDOTA – First State Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of John Holland III to its Board of Directors. Holland will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Matt Carroll and will serve the remainder of his term.

Holland is the Corporate Controller for HCC, Inc. in Mendota. He is an Air Force and National Guard Veteran and a 2001 cum laude graduate of Northern Illinois University with a double major in accounting and management. After holding several accounting positions in various industries in the suburbs, Holland was hired at his current position at HCC in 2014.
An active member of the Mendota community, Holland is a current Mendota City Council Alderman, treasurer for the Mendota Golf Club, and coach for the Holy Cross School bowling and golf teams. He resides in Mendota with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children.
