MENDOTA – Gwenda L. Strouss, 87, of Mendota, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at Allure in Mendota.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2025, at Restland Cemetery. Rev. Mary Bohall will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded. Wasmer Funeral Home is privileged to assist the family.

Gwenda was born Dec. 10, 1937, in Mendota, to Robert and Mabel (Steve) Strouss. She graduated Mendota High School in 1946.

She is survived by four cousins and their families, Bob (Nancy) Strouss of Urbana, James (Colleen) Strouss of Mendota, Linda (Al) Spenader of Mendota and Leslie Strouss Sr. of Princeton.

Gwenda was preceded in death by her parents. 

Gwenda had a variety of positions at Del Monte Corporation where she worked until her retirement.
