MENDOTA - The Christmas trees have been decorated, and now it is time for everyone to vote. Friends of the Library invites the community to stop by Graves-Hume Public Library to vote for their favorite Christmas tree.
Each of the trees has been uniquely decorated. “Young, old, families and kids have decorated trees this year. I hope everyone has a chance to see the fun ways people have thought to decorate the trees,” said Emily Kofoid, Director.
The tree decorating contest is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Library. Voting is done using money. Every penny is one vote, every dollar is 100 votes. All proceeds will help Friends of the Library provide future library programs. The Friends Group is a separate, charitable entity that supports the library in monetary donations for books and programs not in the library’s budget.
Voting ends on Thursday, Dec. 23 and winners will be announced Dec. 28. Grand prize winner will receive a $30 Mendota Chamber Gift Card and the 2nd place winner will be awarded a $20 Mendota Chamber Gift Card.
