GENOA – Mendota took its junior varsity boys’ track team to Genoa for the Genoa-Kingston Junior Varsity Invitational on April 30. There were six teams in the event and the Trojans finished fifth in the standings with 37 points. Hampshire dominated the competition with 257 points.
Komen Denault earned Mendota’s only first-place finish by going 10-4 in the pole vault.
Gavin Stevenson turned in a second-place performance in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11:19.04.
