MENDOTA - Danielle E. Bernard, 38, of Mendota passed away Jan. 15, 2022.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota. Cremation rites will follow and private burial will be at Precinct Cemetery, Earlville in the spring.

Danielle was born Feb. 2, 1983 in Mendota to William and Brenda (Brown) Neighbor.

Survivors include her mother, Brenda Brown of Mendota; two sons, Jay Pelka and Chawn Vasquez, Jr., both of Mendota; one daughter, Nevaeh Bernard of Mendota; one brother, Dustin Neighbor of Mendota; and her maternal grandmother, Joann Brown of Mendota.

She was preceded in death by her father, her maternal grandfather and her paternal grandparents.

Danielle was general manager of Little Caesar’s Pizza in Peru. She loved nature and being outdoors. She loved her children more than anything. She will be remembered for her sense of humor.
