MENDOTA – The fourth graders at Lincoln Elementary sold and delivered candy canes at school the week of Dec. 8. This is an annual tradition with funds being donated to various nonprofit organizations and families in need over the years. This year they raised over $1400 selling candy canes. All of the money was donated toward the building of the new Mendota Area Christian Food Pantry. All of the fourth graders gathered in the gymnasium with Oliver Davis presenting the check to Tracy Cooper, director of the food pantry. (Photo contributed)
