Bureau Co. Farm Bureau holds annual meeting

PRINCETON - Bureau County Farm Bureau hosted its 107th annual meeting on Jan. 10 at the Farm Bureau Building in Princeton with directors, officers and members in attendance. Members were also able to vote through mail by proxy.

During the meeting special guests, current directors and staff were introduced, members were elected to serve on the 2022 Bureau County Farm Bureau board and official business was approved. Representative Dan Swanson and Representative Lance Yednock both spoke to those in attendance about their committee assignments and house bills to look for in this legislative session. 

The following directors were elected to serve a two-year term at the meeting: William Anderson, District 2, Seat 2; Ray Cheline, District 2, Seat 2; Aaron Sears, District 3, Seat 2; Lyle Eiten, District 4, Seat 2; and Evan Hultine, At-Large, Seat 2. Current directors recognized for their continued service at the annual meeting were Brian Sanden District 1, Seat 1; Kent Bickett, District 2, Seat 1 and David Ohlson, At-Large, Seat 2.

Officers were elected within the board at a reorganization board meeting held later that evening following the annual meeting. Evan Hultine of Princeton was re-elected to serve as President; David Ohlson of Wyanet was elected to serve as Vice President, Kent Bickett of Princeton was elected to serve as Treasurer and William Anderson of Walnut was re-elected to the role of Secretary. Each of these positions are one-year terms.
