AMBOY – Olivia Dinges of Amboy has earned Class 1A All-State recognition by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) and the Associated Press for the 2021-22 girls’ basketball season.
Dinges, a 6-1 senior, was chosen a first-team all-stater by the IBCA and made the Associated Press honorable mention team. She led this year’s Lady Clippers to a 23-9 overall record.
Named to the IBCA first team were: Katie Baker, Sr., Serena; Olivia Dinges, Sr., Amboy; Grace Furlong, Fr., Galena; Amiah Hargrove, So., Christopher; Alayna Kraus, So., Okawville; Ella Lune, Sr., Brimfield; Grace Nelson, So., Altamont; Elynn Peterson, Sr., Brimfield; Briley Rhodes, Jr., Okawville; Ashleigh Wackerlin, Sr., Hinckley-Big Rock.
Chosen to the IBCA second team were: Ashlynn Amsman, Jr., Mendon Unity; Abby Compton, So., Goreville; Bella Dudley, Sr., Shiloh Tri-County; Klare Flynn, Jr., Sterling Brown County; Sheridan Harris, Jr., Chicago Morgan Park; Alexa Jamison, Fr., Salt Fork; Megan Rennegarbe, Jr., Okawville; Sydney Richards, Fr., Neoga; Caitlyn Thole, Sr., Princeville.
