The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a LaSalle County high school senior or current college freshman, sophomore, or junior who is pursuing a degree in agriculture, environmental sciences or natural resource management. The scholarship recipient will be selected in May.
The scholarship was created as a legacy for Mark Krenz’s dedication to conservation and education. Krenz was deeply involved with the LaSalle Soil and Water Conservation District and served as board chairman and district director.
