PRINCETON – The Mendota Spikers have been assigned to the Princeton Class 3A Regional Volleyball Tournament to be played Oct. 22, 23, 25. The Spikers are the number two seed in the sub-sectional behind LaSalle-Peru.

BYRON – As if Mendota’s schedule of opponents couldn’t get any tougher, along comes Byron. Coming off of a trip to the Class 3A state semifinals in 2017, the Tigers are back as formidable as ever in 2018. So much so, that they have earned the state’s number one ranking in 3A this season.

Trojans thrash Kewanee, 12-0

MENDOTA – The Mendota varsity boys’ soccer team showed the meaning of total domination with a 12-0 thrashing of Kewanee on Sept. 27 at the MHS field.

Varsity golfers claim 2nd in conference meet

The Mendota varsity golf team finished second in the Big Northern Conference meet and three Trojan golfers earned all-conference status in the process. The meet was held on Sept. 27 at Timber Pointe Golf Club in Poplar Grove.

Spikers knock off 2 BNC opponents

It took some time for Mendota do get things in gear, but when it did it was lights out for Stillman Valley as the Spikers steamrolled to a 27-25, 25-12 win over the Cardinals in Big Northern Conference volleyball action on Sept. 25 at the MHS gym.
