MENDOTA – Registration for the 2021 Mendota Youth Football League will be held on Friday, July 23 from 5-7 p.m. at the practice facility by the Mendota High School bus garage.
The first practice of the season for fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth graders will be held on Monday, Aug. 2 at the practice facility. Players should wear shorts, T-shirt, football shoes or gym shoes. Also, players are encouraged to have their sports physical completed by their first day of practice.
Registration forms are available at the Mendota City Clerk’s office at 800 Washington St., First State Insurance at 715 Washington St. and Kurt Bruno State Farm Insurance at 1103 Main St.
Youth football is for anyone entering fifth through eighth grade in the upcoming school year. A player cannot be 15 years old by Nov. 1, 2021.
The cost to participate is $80. Thirty dollars will be returned if you volunteer to work at various jobs at any of the home games.
