PRINCETON - Rebellious Wrestling Federation head Sean Hubbard recently presented United Way Of Eastern LaSalle County a donation of $300 to aid the tornado relief fund of Ottawa and Naplate. The money was raised during the RWF’s June event, “Wrestle Wars 2,” which was held at the Streator Family YMCA.
The RWF’s next event, “Wrestle Wars 3” will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Bureau County Fairgrounds in Princeton. Wrestle Wars 3 will benefit Piper Stapleton, daughter of Kristina Norris, formerly of Princeton, whose parents still live in the area. Piper suffers from a disease known as microcephaly, which causes her head to be smaller than normal, leading to developmental disabilities and other health issues.

Wrestle Wars is a series of regularly scheduled professional wrestling events held throughout the Illinois Valley area, each of which is run to aid a different cause. The premier event held in December aided the Wounded Warrior Project.
“Our first two events were set up to help major organizations, but this time we wanted to be able to put a face on the event, especially someone who has local ties,” Hubbard said. “I found Piper when someone posted the GoFundMe page Kristina’s family made. It struck me so I reached out to her and she was very appreciative of the offer to help. We like to think of ourselves as ‘Neighbors Helping Neighbors’ so what better way to show that than by reaching out to help someone who has local ties.”
Wrestlers from across the country, including David Lackey Jr., whose aunt has the same condition, are coming to participate in this event. Also appearing will be former WWE and TNA developmental talent Diamond Steele, who has become a mainstay of the roster.
Ticket prices range from $10 for a front row seat to $5 for kids, seniors 60 and over or active service people with a military ID. Family four-packs, which include two general admission and two kids/senior/service tickets are available for $25. All tickets may be purchased online at wrestlewars.ticketleap.com.
