OGLESBY – On Monday, Feb. 4, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., a local Christian women’s group, Women at our BEST, will present “Trust and Obey.” This will be the first gathering of the 2019 series, “Springs of Living Water.” The group meets four times per year to host an inspirational evening out for busy women. There is no charge to attend, no membership, free child care, and all area women are welcome.

Women at our BEST (building, encouraging, strengthening, and teaching one another) will meet in the multipurpose room of Oglesby Union Church at 100 W. Walnut St. for this event.

Arlene Brandner, of Peru, will present the evening’s key message. Brandner has been active in women’s ministries for over 30 years. She was a charter member of Retreat to the Rock and has chaired the Christian Womens Club. This will be her first time speaking for BEST.

Roseann Rossi of Oglesby will discuss revitalizing one’s prayer life in 2019. Rossi was the co-founder of Retreat to the Rock over 30 years ago and still serves on the board, teaches Sunday School, leads home Bible studies, and recently took a mission trip to Mexico. 

The evening will also include singing led by Lois Croasdale of Spring Valley, fellowship, and homemade refreshments.

Future BEST events will take place on May 6, July 20, and Oct. 21.
