OGLESBY - Over 60 entries were submitted in the 2019 Starved Rock Photo Show and Contest, which took place Dec. 3-Dec. 15 at the Starved Rock Visitor Center.
Eleven Illinois photographers took part in this year’s event. Judging was held on Dec. 5 and the Public Choice Award was awarded on Dec. 15 after a tally of visitor ballots was taken. Winning Best of Show was Joey Hass and the Public Choice Award went to Angel Rosecrans.
Angel Rosecrans received the Public Choice Award for “LaSalle Falls Melting.”
Judges included professional photographers from the Sandwich Photography Club, Chris Young of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and Tom Williams of the Starved Rock Foundation.
The 2020 show and contest will take place Dec. 5-13 and will include Kathy Casstevens, professional photographer from the Starved Rock Lodge, as well as IDNR and Starved Rock Foundation photographers Chris Young and Tom Williams.
