Wilma was born March 20, 1927 in Aurora to Theodore and Julia (Losey) Cromer. She married Ronald O. Boltz on Nov. 18, 1951 at her parent’s home in La Grange.

Survivors include her husband of Earlville; one daughter, Julianne Boltz of Centralia; one son, John (Jenny) Boltz of Earlville; three grandchildren, Kevin (Kelsi) Boltz of Sycamore, Courtney Boltz of Milwaukee, Wis. and Kelsey (Andy) Stegman of Sheridan; and three great-grandchildren, Bryce Boltz, Brooks Stegman and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Lisa Kay Hanson; three sisters, Lolita Cromer, Doris Mitchell, and June Faber; and one brother, Theodore Cromer.

Wilma was a member of Earlville Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school and served as Sunday school superintendent, and was active in the Ruth Circle and the Alter Guild. She was the first woman to serve on the Earlville City Council and also served on the Earlville School Board. She was active in the Generation Exchange at the school and the LaSalle County TB Association. She was a member of the Mendota Junior Woman’s Club and was a state officer for a time. She was on the Steering Committee for the 100th and the 125th anniversary of Earlville. She found balance in her careers as an H & R Block tax preparer and as a florist. In her free time, Wilma enjoyed crossword puzzles and word searches but her greatest love of all was spending time with her family.
