MENDOTA - The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will roll into Sullivan’s Foods parking lot on Friday, Sept. 21 bringing fun activities for all ages.
The public is invited to come and get a close-up look at this giant, traveling hot dog on wheels from noon-5 p.m. While there, be sure to try the virtual reality mask that simulates driving the Wienermobile, take advantage of photo opportunities with the Wienermobile including posing as an Oscar Mayer wiener and also get a free classic “wiener whistle.” In addition, hosts of the Wienermobile (known as the “Hot Doggers”) will provide fun hot dog facts and trivia.
The Wienermobile, which measures 27 feet long, 11 feet high and 8 feet wide and weighs 14,050 pounds, will also serve as a backdrop for a cookout sponsored by the Mendota Police Department at Sullivan’s beginning at noon. Sullivan’s is donating the Oscar Mayer hot dogs, buns and soda for the cookout and all proceeds will go to the Special Olympics.
