BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Wayne A. Sauer, 77, of Bloomington, Minn. passed away Aug. 6, 2018 at Good Samaritan Specialty Care in Robbinsdale, Minn.
Memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Bloomington, Minn. Service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Thomas Olson officiating.
Wayne was born Nov. 15, 1940 in Mendota to Henry and Dorothea (Kutter) Sauer. He married Patricia Brown on April 14, 1973 in Mendota.
Survivors include wife of Bloomington, Minn.; one sister, Joyce Hoobler of Rockford; one daughter, Alicia Sauer (Brett Hudoba) of Bloomington, Minn.; two grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Wayne was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Bloomington and enjoyed singing in the choir. He also enjoyed collecting toys, pens and antiques and being one of Santa’s elves and representing him for numerous children around the area. He was always there with a hearty handshake, a funny story and a big smile whenever anyone walked past and he made friends wherever he went.
